Shawn is a great guide who knows what he’s talking about. If you are looking for a great duck hunt, Shawn is your guy. He had everything set up for us and clearly put in the work before hand. He also has a phenomenal dog named Rebel, who is clearly trained and a great hunting dog. Loved this experience and will 100% be back again.

Fishing with Captain Shawn Walker
We were part of a fishing weekend event called Nuts and Bolts of fishing with Cefus McRae. Our first day of our outing in Crystal River in Florida was with Captain Shawn Walker. Shawn was so knowledgeable about the hiding places of red fish, snook, and sea trout. He taught us throughout the day about the tides, rivers life, manatees etc. He celebrated right along with us as we caught fish after fish. He even took pictures with us and for us. What a kind, accomplished Captain. We felt safe and trusted that we would come back with fish. And we did! He is a family man who we will surely look up on our next trip to Crystal River. Thank you Shawn for wonderful memory filled weekend.

We had a great day on the water with Captain Shawn! He clearly knows his stuff, and we learned a lot with him. My husband and I both enjoyed our time with him, as did our two teenaged children. We also caught plenty of Spanish mackerel and speckled trout for dinner! We will definitely book another charter with Shawn next time we're in Crystal River.
Took my nephew/employee fishing while in Florida on business. Had a fine time with Capt Shawn. He is patient, knowledgeable in many areas and not just fishing. He is personable, and puts up with us northerners, and he is a down right good guy! I will contact him again next time I am in the area. You can't go wrong with Shawn!!!
Had an amazing day of scalloping and fishing with Captain Shawn! He took our group of four to a few different spots to scallop. We all had a great time scalloping and then we spent the second part of the day fishing. We caught Spanish mackerel, trout, mangrove snapper and more! Awesome day on the water! Captain Shawn took us to all the great spots and was very knowledgeable. Would highly recommend using this company. We will be booking again!

Captain Shawn took us out for the best day of fishing on his in shore boat and we had a blast. He was fun, funny and very polite, but also knows exactly what he's doing. Listen to him and you will get lots of fish. We brought in Reds, Trout, Spanish Mackeral and a Sea bass. Definitely recommend him and his outfit. We will be back.
BEST DAY EVER!!!
My husband, myself, my Dad, Stepmom, Aunt and Uncle booked a six person offshore fishing trip for the opening day of Red Snapper and Grouper season. I was a little apprehensive going in to this trip because I had never been out that far on a boat and wasn't sure what to expect. Capitan Shawn made this day one of the great memories I know I will never forget. I know we were a handful but he made us all feel comfortable and we also limited out on Red Snappers! I would recommend him to anyone both inexperienced and experienced that want to go out and have a fun and productive fishing trip.
Awesome inshore fishing
Captain Shawn was great, we caught a lot of fish - mostly catch and release. The most knowledgeable fisherman we've ever met, courteous, and most importantly personable and friendly. The full day is well worth your money and the memories you make, we cant wait to come back again soon.
My wife and I came down for a day fish, we misjudged the weather and didn’t bring the right clothing. It was windy and cold with light showers. Shawn gave us some extra clothes to wear to keep us warm and dry.On top of that, we caught plenty of fish. It was a good day.Shawn’s a down-to-earth guy. He’s knowledgeable, but humble. And always down to joke around and BS. You learn a lot and laugh often.We will return

GREAT TIME - GO!
Had a great day with Capt. Sean on Oct 22nd, 2018. We filled our cooler with trout and redfish. By the end of the day our arms were tired. Was mom-stop. Capt. Sean kept moving to find the big ones and it was well worth it. GO! You will have a GREAT time.

I took a last minute road trip with one of my daughters and ended up in Crystal River. We were supposed to travel to different places but the people in Crystal River were so nice we decided to extend our stay if I could find a charter on the 23rd hour. I left my number with someone and sure enough a last minute opening with Captn. Walker was a perfect ending to our vacation. I've fished with alot of people in different places. Fisherman or newby Captn Walker has lots to offer. Limited to the tides we started the day catching trout. I had my heart set on redfish so Captn Walker time himself perfectly to take us in this sweet spot. First of all I have a flats boat that goes in pretty shallow water or I used to think it did until now. Captn Walker has a sick set up boat that would probably go down the street after a 2 in rain. This fishing spot was just starting to get water coming in. We could see the reds coming in as we starting to fish. My 12 year old daughter caught the first bracket ( keeper ) fish. Probably the heaviest acceptable bracket redfish I've ever seen. We caught all types of fish had amazing conversations. Finally on the way out I didn't this day could be better between the scenery the fishing the guides knowledge and sure enough we just happen to see a bunch of manatees heading out to sea. They took a liking to the jet blower behind the boat. Captn Walker let us enjoy curiosity and playfulness of the amazing animals. I don't know too many people that will give kids that type of memory. I 've made a friend to come fish or hunt with in the future. If you are still reading you are looking for the best for your trip. I highly recommend Salt river Outfitters and Captn. Sean Walker. Thank you for the memories. I'll be back to fish and hunt soon.

We went for a full day. Capt Shawn made sure we had every opportunity to get great fish. The most fun fishing day ever!
Perfect for me and the kids
Took my 5&7 yr old boys out for a great day on the water. Captain Shawn was great with the boys and put us on the fish! I’ve fished a lot but it’s great to meet a guide who has the patience to make it exciting for the next generation. I highly recommend him for the seasoned angler or the family outing. Had it fried up at the hotel to end a perfect day!
We chartered an inshore trip with Capt Shawn with the major goal being grouper. Capt Shawn was very personable and accommodating. We caught our grouper within the first couple of hours and moved on to searching for sheepshead. Even though we never found any, we did catch plenty of other keeper species: trout, grunts, rock bass and snapper. Capt Shawn allowed us to fish all day, we never felt hurried or on the clock. He promptly cleaned our fish when we returned to the dock and bagged them up. Couldn't have asked for a better day. We look forward to coming back and fishing with Salt River Outfitters. My husband is already plotting his Cast and Blast trip (fishing and hunting) for next year.
